BBQ RULES We are about to enter the BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh
your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity. When a man volunteers to BBQ, the following chain of events are put into motion:
Routine...
(1) The woman buys the food.
(2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert.
(3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand.
(4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testosterone and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference of the woman.
Here comes the important part:
(5) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.
More routine...
(6) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and
cutlery.
(7) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is looking great. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he flips the meat.
Important again:
(8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.
More routine...
(9) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table.
(10) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
And most important of all:
(11) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.
(12) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed ' her night off ', and, upon seeing her annoyed reaction,
concludes that there's just no pleasing some women.

OMG! Are you at my house? This is great! ~ Robyn
This is too funny! I actually do most of the grilling at our house, as my husband is city born and bred and never really got to learn the whole BBQ mindset! He does love the lounging with the beer part though - apparently that's universal no matter where you are from! Kathy
Pretty typical stuff this!!!
they must have interviewed me for this post! I HATE BBQ season! It is supposed to be easier for me...lol
NOT!
I loved this! So true I could hardly believe it! At least in my experience....... enjoy the rest of your weekend.
LOL....this is too cute. :) Hope you had a great weekend....and I do hope you had some bbq. :)

Good morning Raxx, As you've noticed, I do some weekend blurking too. I don't have enough time to read it all and comment so I do more reading and save my visiting for the weekdays.
I was taken aback at how much work the woman gets to do on BBQ day. LOL at the closing joke. Hubby always wants to know if I'm going to do the veggies while he is grilling, do I ask him to do the veggies while I'm baking, NO!
I hope your week is off to a good start.
LOL good one!
LOL! You flat nailed this one! I love it and laughed long and hard! :-)
Love the pics of your kids on the sidebar... they are precious! That Easter bonnet is some major CUTENESS!
XO,
Sheila :-)
LOL...pretty funny....but at our house. I HAVE TO DO THE GRILLING....well that is unless I want my chicken, steak and everything else WELL WELL BLACK and CRISPY! Personally I'm pretty sure he burns it on purpose! But hey...he cleans the grill, and actually brings out the plates!
Hey Woman!!!! That was funny! I am ready for some BBQ myself. I have had a little so far this season.. but not nearly enough! I could grill everyday.... I am just too lazy! (LOL)
Talk to you soon! :)
